My Real Food Media Booth

I’m back from a whirlwind weekend in San Francisco at the Weston A. Price Foundation Wise Traditions 2008 conference. I was up every morning by 6 and at my booth by 7 or 8.

I debuted my new site, Real Food Media, which will be launching in a few weeks. It’s a blog network focused on traditional and slow food.

Unfortunately, I was so busy meeting people and working that I didn’t have much time to see the seminars, but our chapter is ordering the CDs so I’ll be listening to everything over the next month or so — and blogging about it, of course.

I did manage to catch some very inspiring lectures by Jeffrey Smith from the Institute for Responsible Technology and Mark Kastel of the Cornucopia Institute. I’ll be posting more about everything I learned soon.

I was thrilled to meet some of my readers. We had some great long talks over dinner — you know, the kind of talks where you keep thinking, “I really should go to bed” but you can’t stop and the next thing you know an hour has gone by.

I also met so many wonderful and interesting people. So many new friends!

I have tons of pictures to share. I have to make breakfast now — and help Kate get down off of the coffee table — but I will be posting lots of photos later today.

I was wondering where you were! I’m glad you had a great time at the conference this weekend. I wanted to go since I’m right across the bay (Berkeley), but there is so much going on this time of year for me. I just signed up to get notification of your new site – I cant wait!

Carla – Next year it will be in Chicago — maybe you can make the trip (it was awesome).

    Thanks, Thomas!

The landing page is stealth and simple because the site is still under construction. :-) :-P
