On Saturday we had the most delicious grass-fed burgers and chocolate milkshakes at Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle.

If you’re ever in Seattle, don’t miss this place. They make some seriously good food. Everything was delicious.

With your burger, you can opt for skinny fries, mac and cheese, tater tots or sweet potato fries. Yeah, they’re not fried in beef tallow unfortunately (at least I don’t think so; I didn’t ask but nobody fries in beef tallow anymore).
That was my only complaint. But you can always order the mac and cheese instead if you want to avoid bad fats.

Next time I go, I’m going to try the Dork Burger (a mixture of duck and pork).

All their soda pop is free of high-fructose corn syrup. They even have Mexican Coca Cola. But I say, why drink soda pop when you can have a milkshake?

I should *not* read your blog in the morning. Those hamburgers look sooo good and are making me sooo hungry. Yes, I know, I *should* eat breakfast.

I briefly thought that I smelled the fries.

I went there a few times when I lived in Seattle. My ex lives just a few blocks away. They had just opened and I was insanely curious based on the sign. I love the idea and their shakes are adorable.

The burger looks great. I’d, of course, opt for the biggest burger option (1/3-1/2 pound) without a bun and a side salad if they had one. The Dork really sounds especially good. I always get water to drink, though if feeling indulgent and naughty I might have shared a coffee milkshake with someone, too.
We traveled through Chicago’s O’Hare airport on Christmas day and needed to eat during our layover. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Mexican place in the food court (H terminal??? food court near the Mcdonald’s) that had Tallgrass brand beef (restaurant supplier of grassfed beef) on the menu. So I ordered their low carb bowl with the Tallgrass spicy shredded beef bowl on a bed of romaine lettuce (no beans, rice, or chips) with salsa, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole and it was pretty good for winging it in an airport. My husband had one, too, though he had the pork. Not as good as Chipotle Grill’s bowl (with our LC version with lettuce instead of beans and rice), and slightly more expensive, but it was a decent choice that didn’t gross me out or wreak havoc with my blood glucose (like the airline “snack” pack of carbs, carbs, and more carbs would have).
