“How to Cook Like Your Grandmother” Cookbook Giveaway
I found out about this on the Food Renegade blog.
I had never heard of the How to Cook Like Your Grandmother blog, written by Drew Kime. Interestingly, Drew and I started blogging about real food at the same time — November, 2007.
I LOVE his blog! How is it possible that I did not know about it all this time?
He’s got tons of great recipes, like:
Chili Cheese Fries Cooked in Beef Tallow (OH YUM!)
Onion Rings Cooked in Beef Tallow (is it becoming obvious how much I love beef tallow?)
Deviled Eggs (made with REAL homemade mayonnaise — not the soybean/canola garbage you find at the grocery st

Erbaorganics Organic Baby Lotion Giveaway
I stopped using regular baby lotion when I found out about all the toxic chemicals it has in it. I don’t want that being absorbed into my little one’s pores! Also, most baby lotion is made from petroleum.
So I foot the extra bucks and buy organic lotion for my baby’s bottom. I’m really excited about this particular lotion because it’s made with coconut oil. We all know how good coconut oil is for you when you eat it. Well, it turns out you get similar benefits when it is absorbed through the pores.
In fact, my mother said that she recently rubbed down my nephew recently with some coconut oil before bed, and that night he calmed right down and the most soundly she’d ever seen. She also says coconut oil is the best thing she’s ever found for her dry skin.
You don’t have to be a baby to use this lotion!

Thanks for the mention. But it’s chili cheese fries cooked in beef tallow, not chili cheese dogs. Though now that I’m thinking about it, that sounds pretty damn tasty.

I *knew* I had done that but I was so busy Twittering and Facebooking and what-have-you that I couldn’t find where I messed up!
So thanks.
I wish I could get an intern to come and help me do copyediting but the truth is I need an intern (actually multiple interns) for about 500 other things right now…

I had never heard of Drew’s blog either, but I’ve now subscribed and plan to spend time this weekend looking through the recipes. I stopped tonight after seeing that Frozen Chocolate Truffle Pie – can it get any better than that?? lol

Oh yeah — his recipes look GOOD don’t they? I subscribed to his email updates, too. How could I not? I *have* to know what this man is cooking!
