Real Food Wednesdays

It’s that time again — Real Food Wednesday! This week our theme is Growing Real Food — What Are You Planting?

I posted what I have growing here. It’s a lot of stuff — strawberries, fennel, potatoes, sorrel, blood oranges and Meyer lemons… just to name a few. And I’ve barely done any work so far this year. With the exception of the starters I planted in January, most of these plants either lasted through the winter or they just came back.

Kelly the Kitchen Kop posted 5 Garden Questions. Go check out her post and see if you have any advice for her.

If you’re starting garden plants from seed, you may want to join The Growing Challenge, a neat blog challenge over at One Green Generation.

Please share your posts about what you are planting, what you’d like to plant, your ideas or questions about growing food.

How to Share Your Post:

1. Post on your blog and be sure to link back to this post. (not just the site, but this post)
2. Add your name (or the name of your blog) and your URL to Mr. Linky below.
3. Non-bloggers – post in the comments!

For all the details on Real Food Wednesday, please see this page.

UPCOMING TOPICS:
Kelly & I have decided that beginning in April, we won’t have specific topics, we’re opening it up so that you can share whatever you’d like to each week from your blog, or in a comment, as long as it relates to REAL FOOD! Whether it’s kitchen tips, ways to save money, favorite recipes, etc.

Now it’s your turn!

Mr. Linky won’t let me post my link. Bad Mr. Linky. Maybe you can get it to work?

Hi, my love is herbs so that is what most of my garden looks like. I like planting herbs for culinary use, for medicinal use and for body care. I used to do the huge vegetable garden when my family was a little younger, now I look to the farmer’s markets more. Look forward to looking at everyone else’s gardens!

Well, I did it and even used Mr. Linky. This is my first attempt at participating in Real Food Wednesday. Now I see I should have entered the title of the post next to my name. Ah well, next time. So here’s the post title and link:

I hadn’t realized there were so many people blogging about their experiences with real food, it is so great to have a community around this, because for so long we have been out on our own and marginalized….
