It’s that time again — the Real Food Wednesday blog carnival.

This week I finally got some GOOD coconut oil (Nutiva brand) and decided since the weather has been so cool here to make some delicious coconut granola.

Looking forward to reading all the other posts today!

My post doesn’t have much real food in it (I hope that’s ok!), but it’s an important precursor to a recipe for homemade deodorant using coconut oil coming later this week. Hope you’re inspired by my baby steps away from a hazardous material: aluminum!

Today I’m sharing my article about how I cured my sinus infection naturally, with no drugs (even at the behest of everyone around me), while eating a healthy diet. Thanks for Real Food Wednesdays Ann Marie!

My post is about my science lab, err, I mean my kitchen, and the fermented veg experiment I’m conducting there…I can’t wait for the ginger carrots…they look delish!

    The post is up!
I am not impressed at how I look on camera, versus in real life.
Even hubby said the camera seems to have added a bit.
I have lost so many inches, and my back no longer has a single roll on it!

HI Real Food Wednesday-ers! I was researching articles on dieting and a few on WebMD really got my dander up. Can you believe the same company that makes SlimFast is sponsoring an article on low fat eating and portion control? Sounds like they’re creating the problem then coming up with a profitable solution, eh?

This week I’m posting one of the simplest but tastiest recipes I know. It uses a great cruciferous veggie and some powerful coconut oil. Dare I say these might be more addicting than chips?

I posted about getting organized so we can start the GAPS diet. My first attempt at fermented veggies looks promising. I hope to add more posts about our experience on the diet.

My call for guest bloggers on the Michael Schmidt trial produced a wonderful post from the editor of Western Dairy, a Canadian trade publication.

Check out his beautiful portrait of this rare food, banned by Rome, and Canada, forcing citizens to go “underground” to procure it.
