Hey, everybody! It’s Day 31 of the Kettlebell Challenge!
How are you all doing?
I’ll admit, I’m behind! The last two weeks have been GRUELING. I’m not kidding, I’ve been working 14-16 hour days EVERY DAY. But we finally launched the Village Green Marketplace on Friday so now things are going to slow down a little. Thank goodness!
I’ve decided to extend our Kettlebell Challenge ONE MORE WEEK to give me (and you guys) a little more time to reach our goal.
I’ve only done 6 workouts so far and my goal is 3 per week. So now that we have 6 weeks instead of 5, I need to do 12 more workouts to make my goal of 3 workouts per week. So I’m planning to do 6 workouts this week and 6 next week. Then I can get my Vibram 5 Fingers.
If you’re also behind, this is your chance to catch up! Let’s kick it into 5th gear!
I lost about 4 or 5 pounds over the past few weeks. I’ve been working so much, I have not had much time to eat. Haha — a new diet gimmick — I’ll call it The Launch Diet™. From the creators of The BreakUp Diet™.
Just kidding!
The good news is, I AM seeing benefits from my workouts. Today I am moving up from a 10 pound kettlebell to a 15 pound. Yay!
Tell me, how your workouts are going? Are you still on track? This is the final stretch!
Log Your Workouts in the Kettlebell Challenge
Here’s the widget so you can log your workouts:
How to Log Workouts
Remember to log your workouts every time you do them. I’ve read that it’s best to do kettlebells every other day, not every day. Although you can work out as often as you like.
Winners will be chosen based on RESULTS (weight and inches lost, before and after photos), not the number of times you work out.
Please note — you can only log your workouts ONCE PER DAY. So you must come back to this page to log your workouts on the days that you do them.

How’s It Going?
Please post your comments below. I want to hear how it’s going for you!
I’ll post regular challenge posts every week so we can ask questions, vent, and share.

It’s going well…I haven’t remembered to log in all my workouts, though! But I have lost a few pounds and my clothes feel a bit better. I actually enjoy my Kettlebell workouts, which surprises me, and have been consistently doing them at least 3 times a week. I haven’t measured myself…I am waiting for the last day of the challenge to do that.
I was doing great and then I fell off the bandwagon this week as my kids got sick and my husband started worked an 85 hour week. Therefore, I am really excited by the extra week! I also went up to a heavier kettlebell. I really enjoy it once I start, just have trouble motivating myself to get started and finding the time.
I am beyond happy that you extended this another week. I have been sick, in bed for the most part of two weeks. I was going to give up, and just continue the workouts. Now I still have a chance. I am like Kelly, I feel better (now that I am not sick) and my clothes are feeling better. I haven’t measured either. Want to wait until the end..
I haven’t been doing well with it at all. But I’ve been following the Stomach Virus Diet two weekends in a row, and I did lose 5-6 pounds with it. Looking forward to regaining enough strength this week to workout again!
I am behind! I don’t know that I’ll catch up, but I want to get back to it. I miss my KB workout! Tomorrow, I hope, since I’ll be on the road Tuesday.
My past two weeks have been crazy as well, the extension is wonderful news, I had been doing pretty well
I’ll take an extension. I had a rough week last week too…husband working around the clock, so I had little time and energy to devote to working out. Now I feel renewed excitement!
I’ve been consistent with my workouts — just trying to notch them up so I can see some better results. Pretty sure I’ve lost some inches, though I haven’t measured or weighed. Have been super busy which makes sticking to a healthy eating plan the most challenging part. I also don’t get to a computer every day and my phone won’t let me log my workouts. I’ve missed logging quite a few.
I worked out Friday and Sunday, but forgot to log on. So far, I have lost 9 lbs. and 8.5 inches. The number that is making me the happiest, is the 5.25 lbs of body fat I lost. I’m delighted that the challenge will run for an extra week.
I quit. At first I was terribly disappointed but I got over that. I realized that my last couple workouts were more grueling than they should have been and it took me three days to recover enough to have the strength to work out again. Light bulb. I started getting cold and checked my temp: 96.4 Fail.
It was the impetus I needed to begin the process of change that I have been backburnering (I love making new words!) for far, far too long. So although I really did quit I have unleashed a new flow of energy to focus on something that will ultimately bring even greater benefits. Of course I am hoping that I will be able to pick up my kettlebell again but until that day I will remain content as long as I am moving forward in life. Maybe next year’s challenge.
I’ve been doing them at LEAST 3 times a week so far. I’ll do them when I feel like I can do them; sometimes every day, every other day…sometimes after 5 days. LOL I’ve switched my program up a couple times. On my off days I walk (more than I do on my kettle days) and hula hoop. :] Not all the time though! I need to switch from a 15 lb. weight to a 20 lb.
I’ve gained weight (I believe it’s muscle), lost some inches, but I don’t think it’s a lot. I have more endurance, strength, core strength, and better posture!
I loooove doing kettlebells!
Hi Moriah… we follow each other on Pinterest. Good job on the kettlebells! I love them too, when my adrenals are in better shape. Keep up the good work girl!
I ended up taking a few days off. I have a bad knee and I realized I really need to get a new knee brace to ensure I didn’t hurt myself exercising. I am still glad to have the extra week though and getting a little more done before results are determined.
I am happy we have an extra week because for whatever reason I feel like my body is just starting to change. I have felt stronger for several weeks now, but I wasn’t seeing much change in my physical appearance, but now I feel like I see greater definition. My arms are definitely bigger and stronger. But, I’m not sure if I’ve lost much weight (not weighing myself). I am also trying to figure out how to amp out my workouts. I have been doing fitnessblender workouts and I like them, but I feel like my body is adjusting to their movement patterns and the challenge is less. I tried the myomytv.com pyramid workout today and it was awesome. Thank you to whoever suggested her workouts- they’re intense! I’m also trying to figure out how to up my weight. I have an 8kg and a 12 kg set, but I’m wishing I had a 10kg- I’m not quite ready for the 12kg, but the 8kg is becoming a bit too easy. Ahhhh, there are worse problems to have.
I worked out yesterday. Even though I follow the videos online. I’m not sure I’m doing them right. I’m still totally exhausted after a workout. I feel like a wet noodle and all my muscles feel like they are trembling. I guess it’s because I was so out of shape when I started and my body loved being sedentary. I am noticing better muscle definition and making healthy eating choices.
I am not doing well either! I had 2 weeks of flu and bronchitis that completely derailed my entire workout program! I am slowly getting back on track!! I have lost some weight and inches though so I am happy about that!
I have been a total slacker this year for the contest
I can’t wait to see who wins and see their before and after pics.
My daughter had her baby in Jan. She’s a young teen mom and living at home with me so that has been a crazy transisition……
Life has just been crazy with the new baby and normal life. I never took before pics, I only worked out a few times so far and things are just crazy at my home, LOL.
Good luck everyone who is still with it! Can’t wait to see your results!!
I worked out today. I have to be honest, even though I have lost pounds and inches, I don’t enjoy working out with the kettlebell. Of course, I don’t enjoy having a fat saggy body either so I don’t plan on giving up.
Ann Marie, now that we’ve extended the challenge another week, what day do we finish and what day do we need to get our photos into by? Thanks.
I’ve only found out about this late- is there a way to get the workouts so I can do my own challenge?
