A Pediatrician Speaks Out Against Fluoride

In this short video, pediatrician Dr. Yolanda Whyte shares why she is against water fluoridation.

Dr. Whyte states:

“As a pediatrician, I am deeply concerned that fluoride is not good for babies and that they are at risk for harmful side effects.”

“The most clearly visible side effect is dental fluorosis, a permanent staining of the teeth caused by fluoride’s interference with normal tooth development. There’s a significant number of children in the United States who now have some form of dental fluorosis. According to the Centers for Disease Control, dental fluorosis affects 41% of teenagers.

They voted to get fluoride out of the water supply where I live briefly, but during the last election they voted to get it put back in again.

Both of my now 20 something year old kids have flourosis. I just figured it out in the last two years. For years I blamed myself because of tetracycline use as a teenager. My kids head fluoride treatments as kids. I am beyond an angry. My daughter had teeth whitening done by the same dentist that gave her the fluoride and the problem. I could not afford whitening for my son. Geez, the dentist have a great racket going…..fluoride treatments and then offering whitening to take care of the flourosis. Wow, was I dumb. I have also had my head bit off by my sis in law who is a hygentist. I dared suggest that fluoride may be dangerous. Alot of people in this country especially have alot to be accountable for. Just my opinion

Isn’t there Fluoride in the water in Santa Monica, and other places in Ca. and the Usa?

We know it is bad now, but I have to say, my kids have beautiful teeth , and only a few cavities.
I didn’t know any better at the time, but my Children’s Dr. gave me a scrip for there vitamins with Fluoride in it when they where babies.
They both also had braces on there teeth, without any side effects.

My sons kids are in college, but I do not think they took fluoride, or had the treatments like my kids did.
There teeth are not as good as my kids.
My Daughter shops at whole foods,(Hawaii) but her 4 yr is staying here for a couple of weeks. She said give him his vitamins. I notice there is a prescription for a fluoride tablet that he takes also!!

I have to say after seeing the results of fluoride with my kids, I’m on the fence about it!!

I recommend Barry Groves’ Flouride: Drinking Ourselves to Death. I had to put it down several times before I could finish it because it made me feel helpless. It spurred me to get an RO system in my house.

Sylvie,
Thanks, I’ll take a look at the book, and show it to my Daughter.
We also have a R O system in our house, and we live on our own well..
Our house in Santa Monica, no matter what you do with that water it is undrinkable.
