Does this man look like a criminal to you? Like someone running a meth lab in his basement? Does he look like a menace to society?
To me, he looks like a farmer. Vernon Hershberger is a family man with a small plot of land in America’s dairy state, Wisconsin. He’s a man of faith, who tends to his cows and cares for his kids.

Raw milk. I talk about it a lot. Not only is it a thousand times more delicious than conventional milk, it’s also a whole lot more nutritious.
I also can’t get enough of Mark McAfee, founder of Organic Pastures Raw Milk Dairy here in California. I buy all of our milk from Mark and his dairy, and all of our cream and much of our butter (not to mention some ground beef and cow hearts, and I love their kombucha).

The demand for raw milk is growing, and people are not happy about the government trying to keep it from them. On May 10, they held a “tea party” protest for raw milk on the Boston Common.

I just received an email from Organic Pastures announcing that Whole Foods has decided to permanently stop selling raw milk nationwide. This is very disappointing to me.
I have been an avid fan and supporter of Whole Foods for two decades — since I was in college in the early ’90s. I went to college in Austin, where Whole Foods started, and I loved them from the beginning.
My love for Whole Foods has officially died.

A blog called Living It Up Corn Free claimed last week that US Wellness Meats is using a GMO-corn-based lactic acid spray on their meat. The blogger, who is highly allergic to corn and corn derivatives, had a bad reaction that she claims was brought on by ground beef she had purchased from US Wellness Meats.

Last Thursday Real Food Media bloggers attended the soy prison press conference in Chicago. According to a press release issued by the Weston A. Price Foundation:
Citing serious health conditions due to high levels of soy, inmates in the Illinois prison system are suing for a permanent injunction against the substitution of soy for meat in prison meals.
