Looking for European Real Food Blogs

by Ann Marie Michaels on August 29, 2012

Map of Europe

The blog network I founded, Real Food Media, is growing strong. Since June, we’ve expanded from 23 blogs to over 80 blogs, thanks to our hard-working team here in LA.

We’re in the process of rebranding and changing the name… the new name is fantabulous! Stay tuned for the official announcement!

Know of Any European Real Food Blogs?

I’m writing this post to ask for your help.

We just signed on our first two European “real food” blogs. One in Holland, and one in Belgium:

Eet goed, Voel je goed in Holland
Vitamine F3 in Belgium

Now we need to get sponsors in Europe to support those blogs, but we need more European blogs first!

They can be about cooking real food, cooking from scratch, homesteading or gardening, green lifestyles, gluten or grain free, paleo or vegetarian, whatever! As long as they are about real food and healthy living.

We also want to create a strong support network in Europe for our European bloggers.

Please Share Any Real Food Blogs in Europe

If you know a European blog focused on real food, please post the link in the comments.

Thank you!

Hi, Ann Marie!

I live in Spain and these are my two favorite Spanish real food / “paleo” / “primal” blogs (they write in Spanish, though):

Hi there,
I don’t blog exclusively about food, etc. But I thought I’d just let you know that I am someone who lives in the UK, travels in Europe, etc. I blog occasionally about paleo/ whole food recipes, and also about gardening and unconventional living. I don’t know if what I write about is devoted enough to health as you are looking for, but feel free to take a look and see if it’s a good match!

Your blog looks great! My husband would get along like gangbusters with your husband. He loves Belgian beer, too.

I will email you!

I blog about food, but not exclusively. I eat almost primarely real food, no gluten’ sugar or processed. Do eat rice, rice noodles, soysauce, corn and some other things. I love foods and have just started writing a cookbook. I have ms and thats a reason that good food is essential to me.

Maybe I fit your mission?

I don’t know of any, but I’ll see if I can find a few German ones. I’ve been looking, anyway, because it would be a great way to keep up my German.

Hi Ann Marie! I am planing to open a virtual nutritional center for Metabolic Typing in Romania and I already work on that with somebody that owns an online organic products store there. We would also like to include some new US products in the existent line. I was pleasantly surprised to see over there some very good blogs/ sites about real food that are also Weston Price oriented. I’m not sure if you’re looking for only English written blogs in Europe, though…?
If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know and I’ll forward you some information.
Thanks and good luck!! :)

Hello from Switzerland Ann Marie,

I’d like to recommend a beautiful blog on Turkish food that I follow, written by a British woman living in Turkey, with gorgeous photos and fun stories behind them. It’s in English:
seasonalcookinturkey.blogspot.com

Turkish food is fantastic, as real as it gets, and very much based on Mediterranean flavors for those who are not familiar. Oh, and the typical Turkish breakfast is just about the healthiest breakfast I’ve ever come across…

I’ve been getting the (Italian) newsletter from Nella Cucina di Ely for some time now and there is always something fresh and delicious. She is not exclusively gluten-free, but often features such recipes. Find her at http://www.nellacucinadiely.it/

I do read Italian, so not a problem for me. However these days there are tools all over the place to translate pages, that may help.
Ciao!

Hi Ann Marie,

My name is Melissa, and my family and I just moved to Istanbul from Budapest yesterday. I’m a real foodie and you can hear a bit about it on my blog hungaryforturkey.wordpress.com or my new blog istanbulmoms.com. (There is nothing like traveling around Budapest to find raw milk. I have actually mooed at the market because I didn’t know the word for cow.)
I should note that my blog isn’t devoted entirely to real food, but rather our life as a whole living overseas. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to writing more on this topic on my blog since I’ll be learning how to find and eat real food here in Istanbul as I did in Budapest.

Hi Ann Marie,

I’m definitely not a cheese slave but I write about gluten free, sugar free vegan whole foods. Some raw. Some cooked.

This is not helpful for your current question, but please post if you ever find real food blogs–or any real food resources, for that matter–in Asia! We are moving to a very big city in Asia in January, and I think I’m going to need all the help I can get to find sources and resources for quality food there.

I have a blog about real food (in the Netherlands), but since a while I couldn’t find the time to post. It’s a shame, but I am planning to pick it up again, because I’d also like to write ebooks about real food and sell these through that blog…
Maybe you can write the chapter leaders in the European countries, maybe they know of any?

Hi, I currently blog about my crofting life on a Hebridean Island – the one Dr Price visited. I am about to focus more on traditional nourishing foods either on this blog, or more likely starting up another wordpress one. Will decide in the next couple of days, now that i have had my summer break. Would this be something you would be interested in?

Well the first post on my new food blog is up. I stayed with blogger just for easiness. A few tweaks needed, but I am pleased with it on the whole.
