March against Monsanto - 25 May 2013 - Worldwide

Did you get to go to the March Against Monsanto last Saturday? People marched from Australia to Austin to Amsterdam. Two million people marched against Monsanto in 52 countries and 436 cities.

I really loved seeing all the photos online. Here are some of my favorites from around the world.

Thank you for the compilation(sp?) of pics. I think it’s amazing that I haven’t heard one.single.word on any national news channel about it!

Amazing? And they call us “conspiracy theorists”…

Our media is bought and paid for by corporations including Monsanto

My boyfriend and I were at the downtown LA march. It was amazing to be a part of it, but it’s even more amazing to see these photos of people marching in other parts of the world! So inspiring! Nice to see the Melbourne, Australia shots, too, as that’s where I’m from. : ) Thank you, Ann-Marie!

Thanks for all the photos! My husband and I marched with our little boy in Bend, Oregon. It is such a glorifying feeling being united with others throughout the world:)

My daughters and I marched with others against Monsanto here in Charlotte, NC. last Saturday. Unfortunately, it was Race Week in downtown Charlotte, so roads were blocked off to a lot of traffic and we didn’t get as much exposure as we’d like. However, the Observer did publish a piece on the protest: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/05/25/4063331/protesters-march-against-monsanto.html

No news coverage here in Philly, even though over a thousand of us marched. What a shame!! Thanks for the pics!

So good to see all the pics from all over. I didn’t make the march but I hear more are scheduled. The next one is on my wedding anniversary. I hope to make it. I think the way this GMO thing is building up the media will not be able to ignore it much longer.

It was briefly disused on the local tv station and in the newspaper. CNN seemed to be the only one who did a full segment on the march, unfortunately.

And now the video of the turnout in Reno, NV that media reported was ‘low’ Yes, our local news did report it but this is the best coverage I’ve seen:
