A few weeks (okay, months) ago, my friend and neighbor, Janis, had me (and our friend, Shirley, pictured below) over to her house to teach me her method for baking artisan no-knead sourdough bread. It came out so well — I’m very excited to share it with you.

OK seriously, this is the most beautiful thing that has ever come out of my kitchen. Real sourdough bread, fermented for almost 24 hours. The perfect combination of delicious and digestible. And one of the very best vehicles for pastured butter.
