Fitness trainer Kevin Brown and nutritionist Annette Presley have written a new book called The Liberation Diet about how to lose weight and get healthy eating real food. I’ve read the book and I love it. It’s full of great information on how to eat healthfully and get slim and real-life testimonials by people who have followed the program and dropped excess weight. And not with soy shakes, rice cakes or processed TV dinners. This eating plan prescribes real butter, bacon, cheese, and burgers. Now that’s my kind of diet!

I can’t believe it. I lost 3 pounds without even trying — just in the past week since I’ve started GAPS (I officially started the Intro Diet 3 days ago, but I’ve been off dairy/grains/sugar/starches for over a week now).
I just looked back on my blog entries. The last time I lost weight (12 pounds) [...]

We went to see the accupuncturist yesterday. He used an electro-dermal screening machine — a super-high tech thing that tells you everything that is wrong with you. It’s like accupunture combined with a computer.
Electrodermal screening works to diagnose disease by measuring the skin’s electrical resistance. It detects energy imbalances along acupuncture meridians.
Watching him work with [...]

I’ve written about maca before but I just can’t say enough about it. I already wrote about what it’s done for my PMS symptoms (eradicated them!).
I reported a while back that my temperature has been chronically low. Since April, I’ve been taking Iodoral and adrenal gland to help my thyroid and adrenal glands.
I started [...]

I finally got our WiiFit set up yesterday. It is AWESOME. Seriously, the coolest thing ever. (OK, since Tivo and the iPhone.)
What you do is make an avatar to represent yourself (a Mii — get it, a “me”). You can choose your hair color, eyes, face and body shape, etc. Then you get on the [...]

I stepped on the scale this morning and was very pleased to see this number: 142!
This means I’ve lost 12 pounds in just under a month. Which means I am losing at a rate of 3 pounds per week. Not bad!
It’s all due to my hunger scale method. I tried high-fat low-carb back in December/January [...]

I’ve got exciting news.
I weighed myself this morning and guess what – I’ve lost a total of 9 pounds. I’m down to 145 now. This is a new low. Still 15-20 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight, but still! I’m happy! I had been stuck at 149 for months. I’ve lost 4 pounds just in the [...]
