I love pâté de campagne but I had never tried to make it before. When I found this recipe for pâté de campagne by Julia Child, I couldn’t wait to make it. I’m always looking for good liver recipes, because liver is so nutritious.

I’m so excited I can hardly stand it! In less than a week, my dear friend and fellow blogger, Kelly the Kitchen Kop is flying to Southern California and we are going to go to the beach! Newport Beach, to be exact, to attend the Newport Beach Film Festival. We are covering the screening of a new feature-length documentary about sustainable agriculture called FRESH.
This week in the Nutrition News Roundup I have a testimonial to share. I got a phone call from my mother-in-law last week. My in-laws, after eating coconut oil 4 times a week for about a month, saw a drop in their total cholesterol and their LDL. Nancy’s LDL dropped 38 points, from 143 to 105. Ed’s went down 49 points, from 172 to 123.
Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey were on Larry King Live recently. I didn’t catch it on TV but I just watched all the segments on YouTube. I love and admire Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey so much for speaking out and helping families recover from autism. I also commend them for telling the truth about vaccines and the greed that’s driving the pharmaceutical industry.
I agree with Jim and Jenny that autism is preventable and treatable. All you have to do is watch the video footage below of Jenny’s son to see that this child is no longer autistic. Healing autism is possible!
We eat eggs or oatmeal most mornings, but sometimes it’s nice to have something baked. I especially love warm sweet banana bread with my coffee.
Unfortunately, banana bread recipes are not very healthy. White flour isn’t good for you due to the phytic acid which blocks mineral absorption. Not only that, but refined white flour has almost no nutrition. To make a truly healthy banana bread, I recommend using sprouted flour…
Do you know someone with osteoporosis or osteopinea? Do you want to prevent osteoporosis in yourself or your family members? Do you have growing kids who need to build strong bones and teeth?
This is the information you have not heard about milk — and the science behind why pasteurized milk does not help you build strong bones. You have to drink it raw!
I found some dried Christmas Lima beans at the farmer’s market and I wanted to try something different for dinner: Creole Succotash with Christmas Lima Beans. This dish is full of flavor, and it’s super nutritious. And since it’s a one-pot meal, it’s easy to make without a lot of fuss or extra pans to wash.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always found it very interesting that the word “easter” is derived from the Latin, “estres,” which means the period of reproduction in animals. Perhaps this is why Easter is about eggs and baby chicks and baby lambs and bunnies. It’s the time to get out there and plant seeds. After a cold, dark winter, new life shoots out of the ground, and baby animals are born on the farm.
Enameled cast iron is one of the healthiest varieties of cookware available. And Le Creuset is the creme de la creme of enameled cast iron. Unfortunately, Le Creuset has a price tag that reflects that status.
I’ve been searching for discount Le Creuset for a while — and I’ve found what I believe to be the best price on Le Creuset cookware.
Ask any mother (or any dentist for that matter) what causes cavities and they’ll tell you it’s sugar and not brushing and flossing. But is that really true?
What if it was all the corn flakes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and pasta we’re feeding our kids that’s causing their cavities? What if we could change our diet and not only prevent cavities, but actually reverse them?
