It's my birthday tomorrow. I'll be 48. Yes, I was born on Independence Day. I guess that's why I'm such a firecracker.
As some of you know, I just went through a very rough couple years. In 2007, I started blogging, and in 2008, I started a blogging network on my coffee table that grew to a million dollar business.
And then, in 2013/2014, almost all the bloggers I helped turned against me. Many of them breached their contracts and the business I worked so hard to build crashed — losing 90% of the revenue overnight.
You can read the whole story here. (Actually that's the short version. I'm working on a book that will tell the whole story. Stay tuned…)
In 2014, I had my second baby, Oliver. He will be two years old this October. He is healthy and happy, thank God. He was a wonderful blessing during the worst two years of my life.
And now it's time for me to get back out there. It was very hard for me to blog over this past two years. It's taken a while to recover, not only financially (and we've still got a ways to go on that) but more importantly, emotionally and spiritually. I've been afraid to put myself back out there again. After what I went through.
The Fear of Standing Out
It wasn't so much the failure of the business that hurt me, but the betrayal of most of my so-called friends. That and the public shaming. (More detail on the public shaming here.) They say public shaming is a fate worse than death, and unless you've been through it, you wouldn't know. I can now say that it is true — I'd rather be murdered than publicly shamed.
That said, now that it's all over, I'm glad I went through it. It was the best gift I've ever been given. Just as diamonds are made from intense pressure, it's the horrible, awful, painful stuff you go through that makes you powerful. So yeah, I wouldn't wish what I went through on anyone… but I'm very grateful it happened.
The public shaming and betrayal I endured has made me very, very strong. I got some superpowers out of this deal… like being able to see through people. I used to believe people were good and that they would do the right thing. I learned the hard way that while people are inherently good and loving, they are also fearful and they believe in scarcity, not abundance. And it is their fear that makes them do the wrong thing.
Most people are not brave. They go along with whatever everyone else says so they don't have to stand out and risk looking foolish. People feel safer standing with the crowd, regardless of whether it's right or wrong. I get it. It's painful to be shamed publicly. I know how it feels. But sometimes it's more important to put yourself out there and fight for what is right, than to worry about what other people think.
Some of the most brave people I know are the people who have been fighting the pharmaceutical drug companies and their draconian vaccine laws. People like Del Bigtree, Andy Wakefield, Polly Tommey, and others who are standing up and fighting back.
On Friday, I kicked off my birthday weekend by attending the 2nd Annual Health Freedom Rally in Santa Monica. A few hundred people gathered at City Hall to protest the mandatory vaccine law that went into effect on that day, July 1, 2016, here in California. All of the speakers were phenomenal… but Del Bigtree, producer of the movie VAXXED, really spoke to me personally.
As Del Bigtree said in his speech, we need to be brave:
At the end of our anthem, ‘land of the free, home of the brave.' Journalists. Stand up. Be brave. Be brave.
All of you doctors that know the truth. You've seen these children injured. You tell me off of camera, ‘I know vaccines are causing autism but I won't say it in front of the camera. Be brave! Stand up!
Now is the time for every actor here in Hollywood not vaccinating your child, hiding, being quiet, worried about your career… Stand up! Be brave!
Be brave, America. Fight! Our democracy is hanging in the balance. Our health is hanging in the balance. Our children are being sold to the pharmaceutical industry. We are being enslaved.
Time to Set Off Some Fireworks
Del's speech inspired me so much. I am committed to being brave. I am committed to standing up and speaking out. I was scared to put myself back out there, afraid not of what people will think, because I already went down that road, but of what “they” could do to me. But here is the thing… when enough of us stand up together, there is nothing they can do. Because we, the 99% are much bigger than they will ever be.
What are you not speaking out against? How are you holding back? Maybe it's not vaccines you want to fight against… maybe it's GMOs or election fraud or fracking… whatever it is you're holding inside, it's time to fight back.
I hope you will join me. Speak up. Make your voice heard. Fight back.
Let's set off fireworks together. This is our country and it's time to take it back.
Oh say can you see,
By the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed,
At the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars,
Through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched,
Were so gallantly streaming.
And thy rocket's red glare,
Thy bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night,
That our flag was still there.
Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Support Me & My Work
I have been blogging about real food, alternative health, and about the dangers of vaccines and Big Pharma since 2007. As a result, the cabal has punished me severely financially via the IRS, FTC, hacks, etc. I lost my blog network in 2014 which I now believe was an orchestrated attack. Last summer, I lost 80% of my income from my blog due to the Google algorithm change that impacted almost all health bloggers including Dr. Mercola.I'm now working to build my blog and YouTube channel and I appreciate all the support from my fans. Once I can start making more money, I will be able to hire some help and childcare, so I can create more content. Thank you for any help you can offer. Here are some ways you can support me as a content creator and journalist:
- Support me on Patreon (I'm still setting up the bonuses from the tiers but you can start donating now).
- Buy my shampoo or skincare. Want more info? Read my review of MONAT. Or click here to learn how to order MONAT and save the most money. Got questions? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or if you need help placing an order.
- Send me a donation via Paypal: email@example.com
- Enroll in my online course: Online Marketing Simplified. Updates to the course are temporarily on hold so I can cover Q -- but I will be back to adding course lessons as soon as the storm is over and we are out of quarantine -- any week now!
- If you can't help financially, it's OK! You can help by sharing my content. Share my blog posts, YouTube videos, and Facebook & Instagram posts, and leave me comments. Sharing helps get my work seen -- and liking and commenting helps boost the content in the search engine algorithms.
